Cairngorm Hills

Lochnagar is one of the big hills of the Cairngorms. It is popular and has good paths u pthe hill.

There is a large car park at the end of the Glem Muich. It is a large car park but still is busy due to the popularity of the hills here, especially Lochnagar.

A well worn track taks the walker to Loch Muick and around the northern shore. For 3/4 of the way along there is a big track that climbs the hill. There is no other option other than following this all the way to the summit. The summit is marked with a large cairn plus a great view over all the Cairngroms. (9.5kms. 770m. 4hrs. 20min.)

And back! Follow the path back to Loch Muich. Then follow the track back to the car park. (9.5kms. 00m. 2hrs. 50min.)
