The ridge from Braeriach to Sgor an Lochain Uaine (Angel's Peak), Cairn Toul and Devil's points is a great north to south ridge walk. This route takes in the 3 southern Munros in a long circular walk.

There is a large car park at the Linn of Dee that gives easy access to the Cairngorms from the south. Often busy especially in the good weather. Sitiuated at the Linn of Dee on the minor road west of Braemar.

There is a long walk in to Cairn Toul, a cycle will help. Cycle along the wide track from Linn of Dee to Derry Lodge. Usual to leave cycles here. Cross the Derry Burn and continue east along the N bank of Glen Luibeg. The track narrows to a good path at the crossing of Luibeg burn. Continue E and then N along the path leading to the Larig Ghru. At NN985956 leave the main Larig Ghru path, cross the bridge and ascend steeply the path the passes Courrour Bothy to reach the main plateau. Ascend north along the wide slopes to reach the summit. The cliffs along the E of the route are spectular. The summit of Cairn Toul is the high point that is surrounded on three sides by steep cliffs that lead to some spectacular coires. Easier slopes to the SW.(15kms. 920m. 6hrs. 10min.)

Follow the rim of the coires NW to the summit of Angel's Peak, Sgor an Lochain Uaine. A conical summit surrounded by cliffs on N and E sides. Easily approached from S and SW. Cairn marks summit. (1kms. 150m. 0hrs. 40min.)

Follow the rim of the coires SE and then S passing the top of Cairn Toul on the W to reach the bealach below Devil's point. Climb the easy slopes to the summit of Devils Point. The summit is surrounded on the S and E by steep cliffs. A cairn marks the top.(3kms. 250m. 1hrs. 30min.)

Leave NW to reach the bealach at the top of Corrour Burn. Follow the obvious path down the side of the burn past Courrour Bothy and into the bottom of the Larig Ghru.
